16 CFR PART 1632—STANDARD FOR THE FLAMMABILITY OF MATTRESSES AND MATTRESS PADS (FF 4–72, AMENDED) 床垫，床衬垫的香烟闷烧测试标准

Test Clause	Requirement
Conditioning	T: ³ 65ºF, H: less than 55% at least 48h
requirements	1) No obvious flaming combustion occurs.
	2) Smoldering continues should be less than 5 minutes after cigarette has extinguished.
	3)The char develops should be less than two inches in any direction from the cigarette, including laterally or downward into the mattress or pad.

Mattress pads containing a chemical fire retardant should be washed and dried ten times before testing, except the one time use pads.

2006年3月15日CPSC针对CFR1632&1633标准适用的床垫产品发布临时强制政策，允许制造商生产的以满足明火测试（CFR1633）的床垫原型在进行CFR1632测试时只做两个表面的测试。即如果床垫上下表面都可以使用，且结构完全相同，则只需测试一个样品，否则测试两个样品。（该政策只适用于2006年3月15日后生产的拟满足16CFR 1633要求的床垫）。
